"This has been an incredible educational experience," the graduate explained following the final night of his MFA graduate exhibition in the VCFA College Hall Gallery. "This program’s ‘precedent-setting pedagogy’ allowed me to work directly with a community of marvelous artists and critical-thinking educators."

David entered the post-graduate program as an accomplished professional photojournalist. Through studio studies with other Masters of Fine Arts, his visual language expanded to include original artworks in charcoal, watercolor, graphite, ink, and oil. He also created an assemblage, sculptures, installations, mixed media collages, audio-visual presentations, and a live performance.

This Master of Fine Arts degree is considered to be the highest academic attainment in the field of visual art. The MFA program at VCFA requires proficiency in both visual culture – theory and literacy – and artistic studio practice.

Vermont College of Fine Arts is accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges, Inc., through its Commission on Institutions of Higher Education.
